The Blue Danube: was premiered in 1867 in Vienna in its own version alongside the Vienna Men’s Choir Club. It is originally a compilation of melodies that already appear in other works. Strauß had created a second version for military music, which includes a band of string and wind instruments.

Information about the composer Johann Strauß:
* 25.10.1825 in St. Ulrich / Vienna – † 03.06.1899 in Vienna

Composer of many works, such as: “Ritter Pasman” (Opera), The Bat, A night in Venice, “Der Zigeunerbaron”,  “Waldmeister”, Indigo and the forty thieves, Operettes among other, waltzs, polkas and other dance music.
