The Triumphal March | Aida: The opera had its premiere in 1868 to honour the opening of the Suez Channel in Cairo. The Triumphal March sounds in the second act. To create a „biting“ sound from the fanfares, Verdi had the so-called „Aida Trumpets“ built. Not only the tone, but also the optic of these historical instruments from the time of the Pharaos was important to him. Information about the composer Giuseppe Verdi: * 09.10.1813 in Roncole – † 27.01.1901 in Milan Composer of multiple works like Ernani, Attila, Macbeth, Luisa Miller, Rigoletto, La Traviata, Simon Boccanegra, Il Trovatore, Masked Ball, Don Carlos, Falstaff, Otello, Nabucco, among others, as well as holy mettes, requiems and cantatas.
